Eating arugula in no time . . .

My rouge arugula seeds are growing along splendidly. I may even have to thin them out soon! mmmm february arugula! i think i am going to start a whole flat of greens on my sunny rad. Stay tuned . . .

Sign of Spring!!

Even though this is what i see when i look out the window . . .
i did discover a very encouraging sign of the season to come
all week, i have been putting a few extra seeds leftover from packaging seeds in the potted plants in my house. it's a sort of germination test & these arugula seeds are passing with flying colours. i put them in the pot with my chocolate pepper plant only three or four days ago & they are sprouting like mad! fresh greens inside in a few weeks!?! Plants love living on top of radiators.

Preperations

I have been staying inside, hibernating & getting prepared for the upcoming seedy season!

Toronto Seedy Sunday is this week-end! Sunday Feb. 13th 12:30-6pm


Toronto's Seedy Sunday is always a great event. Usually very busy, full of friends made over past years, excited gardeners planning their seasons, and lots of seeds!

I am busy working & packaging up storm. it is lightly snowing outside, but somewhere deep within i am starting to feel spring coming again!
